SWiCH Facial by Circadia-$125
(Series of 5 $500)
SWiCH™ Dermal Rejuvenation System
For aging, sun-damaged, and environmentally damaged skin.
Don’t injure yourself with chemical peels! Circadia’s SWiCH system triggers healing without injury. Your skin’s natural rejuvenation ability restores a more youthful condition.
Trigger Healing Without Injury
With the SWiCH™ System, it is now possible to achieve repair of the skin without having to induce tissue damage. The body’s repair systems, including that in the skin, are held in a ready state at all times. Understanding what is needed to trigger the system is the key to the efficacy of the SWiCH™ System.
How SWiCH Works
Any repair system requires a large input of energy. This energy source is generated by a natural cycle as part of the metabolism of food. The SWiCH™ treatment is a multiple-step process that allows the active ingredients to penetrate into the skin, switches on the repair mechanism, and supplies energy for the repair process to fully complete. While results will be seen in one treatment, a series of treatments (one month apart) is recommended.
SWiCH Monthly Maintenance Price*: $70
*Monthly Maintenance treatments must be performed once a month in consecutive months to qualify for pricing.
Contraindications:
- Allergy to aspirin or salicylates
- Allergy to citric acid of any kind: oranges, lemons, grapefruit, etc
- Anyone who is highly allergic
- Pregnant or trying to become pregnant
- Use of Accutane within one year
- Use of antibiotics (topical or systemic)
- Laser surgery within the last 12 weeks
- Using glycolic acid, Retin A, or Renova in the last 2 weeks
Clients considering the SWiCH™ program must discontinue the use of Retin A, Renova, and any AHA products prior to their treatment. The guidelines for timing Retin A or retinol use with SWiCH™ depends on individual skin type. The Bové Spa cannot perform SWiCH™ treatments when clients are non-compliant with these guidelines, on any client with compromised skin of any type. Do not perform SWiCH™ treatments for a minimum of three months after a facelift or blepharoplasty.
Commonly asked questions:
Is SWiCH™ safe to use during pregnancy?
Your skincare professional at Bovè will have a list of ingredients for the SWiCH™. Please consult with your physician for their opinion on what is best for you and your child. While there are no known contraindications, there is also no data on the effect of SWiCH™ on pregnancy. We believe in erring on the safe side and recommend avoiding as many chemicals as possible during pregnancy.
Is it safe and/or beneficial to use SWiCH™ on the hands, arms, and décolleté?
Yes, SWiCH™ works well on the hands and lower arms for age spots, discolorations, and general signs of aging. It is safe for use on the neck and décolleté, although it is generally more sensitive than the face and the client may have more flaking and irritation. They will need extra home care products.
Does the client have to stop all glycolic acid products before the SWiCH™?
Absolutely. We do not recommend mixing other product lines (especially glycolic acid) when the client is having SWiCH™ treatments.
Can I receive microdermabrasion treatments between SWiCH™ treatments?
We do not recommend it. We highly recommend the Circadia Cocoa Enzyme treatment 5 – 10 days post-SWiCH™. If you feel you need to give a microdermabrasion treatment between SWiCH™ treatments, wait 2 weeks after the SWiCH™ and only give one light pass of the microdermabrasion.
Is it safe to give the SWiCH™ treatment to a client who shows areas of dry skin?
For best results from the SWiCH™, the skin should not have dry patches or areas that may be of concern to you. Use that appointment to give the client a soothing, hydrating facial and reschedule the SWiCH for the next time. You may want to have the client use Circadia’s Moisture on Demand to replenish the dry areas.
Will the SWiCH™ help acne?
The SWiCH is an anti-aging treatment. There are better choices for acne such as the Cocoa enzyme application with the Oxygen Rx Treatment and ABC Peel. The skin type and grade of acne will determine what treatment is best for each individual condition.
Will the SWiCH™ help to rid the skin of brown spots?
Yes, it will. The client should be given the White Veil Brightener two weeks prior to the first SWiCH™ treatment. It should be used daily along with the Vitamin C Reversal Serum and the Sunblock for the duration of the SWiCH™ treatments.
I have returned from vacation with a fading tan can I receive a SWiCH™ Treatment?
Even though the skin is not red or sunburned, it is damaged recently from the sun. A tan is the skin responding to injury. The skin is still attempting to heal itself from the sun and the SWiCH™ was simply too much—too soon. The client needs to allow the skin to heal, protect from the sun at all times, do not use anything aggressive at home, and return in 4 weeks.
I am 28 years old, can I receive the SWiCH™ because I am concerned about aging?
It is best to wait until at least 35 years old to begin the SWiCH™ treatments. She will benefit from home care products such as the Circadia Nighttime Repair, Vitamin C Reversal Serum, Phyto-PEP 1.6.
How do I decide if the SWiCH™ is the right treatment for me?
The SWiCH™ is an anti-aging skin rejuvenation treatment. Anyone interested in maintaining youthful, healthy skin, repairing sun damage, improving fine lines and wrinkles, and improving the overall integrity of the skin is a good candidate for the SWiCH™.
